Fridge Hero is a food-expiry tracker. Your data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information.
All fridge items (names, expiry dates, quantities, notes) are stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to the developer.
The app uses your camera only to scan barcodes. No images are saved, uploaded, or transmitted anywhere. Camera access is used solely within the app in real time.
Fridge Hero may send local push notifications to remind you of items nearing their expiry date. These notifications are generated entirely on-device and no notification content is transmitted to external servers.
When you scan a barcode, the app queries the Open Food Facts public API to look up product information (name, brand, category, image). The only information sent to Open Food Facts is the barcode number. Please review their Privacy Policy for details on how they handle that request.
Fridge Hero contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and no third-party trackers of any kind.
Fridge Hero does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app contains no age-gated content.
If the privacy policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "last updated" date.
